EPL: Wilfred Ndidi’s own goal, Kai Havertz late strike earn Arsenal dramatic win

Arsenal on Saturday, September 28, won Leicester City 4-2 at Emirates stadium.

Super Eagles’ Wilfred Ndidi’s own goal in the 94th minute first gave Arsenal a 3-2 lead.

While a close-range Kai Havertz strike in the 99th minute of stoppage time denied the visitor a chance to fight on.

Gabriel Martinelli had scored the first goal in the 20th minute before Jurrien Timber’s cross, which was converted by Leandro Trossard, hit the net just before the end of the half-time.

Leicester net its first goal in the 47th minute of the second half when James Justin’s header from Facundo Buonanotte’s free-kick got in.

Justin doubled his personal tally in spectacular fashion shortly after the hour mark at the 63rd minutes, meeting Ndidi’s left-wing delivery with a swerving volley that beat David Raya via the inside of the post.
